Terms of service

The service

competeChecker provides website intelligence produced by our own crawler, our own first-party measurement network and our own statistical models. We do not resell another provider's dataset.

Reports combine measured data (collected directly, with the site owner's permission) and estimated data (produced by our models). Every figure is labelled so you always know which is which.

Accounts

You must give accurate registration details, keep your credentials secure and are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are for a single organisation; sharing credentials outside it is not permitted.

Plans, billing and credits

Paid plans are billed in advance for the stated period. Usage limits and credits are defined by your plan and are enforced automatically. Credits do not have cash value and are not refundable except where required by law.

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before the change affects an existing subscription.

Accuracy and limitations

Estimated figures are statistical estimates with a stated range and confidence score. They are not guarantees, and we do not present them as exact measurements. You should not rely on an estimate alone for investment, legal or commercial decisions.

We do not currently offer a contractual uptime guarantee or enterprise service-level agreement.

Termination

You may cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. We may suspend accounts that breach the acceptable use policy, attempt to circumvent limits, or put the platform's integrity at risk.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
